Scuba diving and snorkeling the reefs of La India, La Entrega and San Agustin beaches as well as the coral plates of Cacaluta and La Montosa islands are just a few of the wonderful places to find colorful schools of fish.

Catch a sport fishing boat out of the Santa Cruz Marina. Huatulco is also rich in marine fauna, such as Oyster, lobster, shrimp, dolphin, turtle, red snapper, marlin, clam, snail and whales.

Take a bay tour? Experience the wonders of the 36 Beaches and the Bays of Huatulco, and the unusual rock formations the sub marine parks of La Bufadora, the Rostro de Piedra and Organo Bay.

Check out the tropical lagoon here at La Bocana, the mouth of the Copalita River. Birdwatchers can lose themselves at this incredible sanctuary. Huatulco has 701 bird species, such at hummingbirds, pelicans and hawks.

There are several great birding spots year round.
